Our October 1st ribbon cutting event for AmeriPlex at Interstate 80/90’s newest tenant, Hubbell/RACO, was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who attended the event, including Governor Mike Pence and South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg. Here are a few photos from the ribbon cutting for you to enjoy!
Doesn’t the podium look lovely and festive?
The IEDC helped put together this ribbon cutting. Hubbell/RACO relocated its distribution center from Illinois to South Bend and has pledged to create up to 77 new jobs by 2015.
The large crowd of spectators eagerly awaits the beginning of the ceremony.

Hubbell/RACO announced in September of 2012 that the international electrical and electronics producer would be relocating its distribution center from South Holland, Ill. to Holladay Properties’ AmeriPlex at Interstate 80/90 development in South Bend. Holladay broke ground on the Superior Building, a 105,000 square foot build to suit project for Hubbell/RACO, soon after the announcement. The new distribution center is the company’s second location in South Bend; RACO has a production facility on Sample Street. Holladay completed construction on the new distribution center earlier this year and Hubbell/RACO has been operating in the facility since July. The ribbon cutting event served as the official welcome of Hubbell/RACO to their new space within AmeriPlex.
